This year will be a little different …

The more astute of you will have noticed that I've not been bombarding your social media feeds with requests for donations the year.

There is a good reason.

Elsie is not well.

Last year, on my delayed DGR ride out, she blew out an exhaust baffle, followed by the whole exhaust 20 miles later. After a roadside 'repair', examination at home found a broken exhaust stud. Cue the long planned engine rebuild and crankcase repair.

Long story short, she's still in a million pieces, but ready to go back together after my turn in the 'crankcase weld repair queue' has arrived.

I thought about rolling out Mutley, but that's not in the spirit of DGR.

So, I'm sitting it out this year but, if you can, please consider making a donation. The good causes that the DGR support will still appreciate it. And I will too.

Roll on next year. Elsie should have made a recovery by then. 🤞

 

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Tuesday 26th Mar 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
