I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

On Sunday 19 May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (for my second year) with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for  men's mental health and prostate cancer on behalf of Movember.

Men die on average six years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising awareness and funds for these causes by donating, if you can, for this meaningful cause and to help men live happier and healthier lives.

I am relatively new to motorcycling, but I love it, and it can definitely have a positive affect on mental welbeing. Riding safely and with courtesy to others is obviously of paramount importance, but the feeling out on the open roads, concentrating on the riding and surroundings, creates space in the mind, which I believe to be very positive.

I'm lucky in that I don't suffer from mental unwellness, and my prostate is behaving itself at the moment, but I know many who are less fortunate, and would like to do a tiny bit to help them.
