Bikes in Springtime
Tuesday 22nd Apr 2025reprint of a 2021 post;
Spring brings new growth, a new season and refreshed enthusiasm for most.
In the motorcycle business it means many new riders ready to hit the road after hopefully completion of a quality ride training program. New riders seaking their first bike, something not to large or intimidating yet something that won't be outgrown too soon.
Then there are the next tier of riders, ready to graduate from that wee baby Virago, Ninja or mini CBR or the ageless Honda Rebel. Here they are ready for some power and utility beyond that extended to the basic first bike. This is all so exiting, the world awaits.
Next is the returning rider, ready to return to the fun, enjoyment and freedom of two wheels after having raised a family, built a career or business. Now we can be carefree again. Clear your mind of the external and ride, just ride for the joy.

Distinguished Gentleman's Ride for the Sixth Straight Year,
Saturday 22nd Mar 2025I'm Riding Again for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride
Victoria Day Weekend, Sunday May 18 2025
Victoria Day Sunday I'll ride in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride for the seventh straight year with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
Please consider supporting me by donating to the DGR.
