I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride
Sunday 28th Apr 2024On Sunday 19th of May 2024, I’ll be riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. This is a day where people from across the globe jump on their motorbikes, dress rather smartly, and raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember.
This one is a particularly personal one for me. On the 11th January, 2023 my Dad lost his 10 year battle with prostate cancer. I thought I’d be a lot older than I am when he went, and not a single day has passed where I haven’t thought about him. His final year was just about the worst thing anyone should ever have to go through, I’ll spare the details, but if raising a little money can get us another step closer to popping cancer in the bin then that’s a big yay. The fact we get to do it while riding motorbikes and simultaneously raising money for mental health is bloody wonderful.
