Walking the Talk
Tuesday 8th Apr 2025Greetings,
Last year I picked up the torch of advocating for de-stigmatizing men's mental health. On February 17, 2025 I survived the Delta 4819 crash in Toronto. Everyone seems to agree; A traumatic event.
While I seem ok, how do I protect myself and my family from the potential of impact of PTSD? Here are some key componenets:
1. Schedule a Therapy session.
2. Stay connected to family and friends.
3. Continue to engage in your social activities.
Through these events you may find yourself "talking" about the event and that is usually a good way to process the outcomes of the event. If talking causes emotional anxiety or other negatively feelings tell your therapist when you see them.
So I have been telling the story to anyone who will listen and leeting them know how God was at work in my life before, during, and after the crash.
