Riding for a Cause: My Journey with the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2025
Thursday 27th Mar 2025Introduction The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) isn’t just an event—it’s a movement that holds a deep personal meaning for me. Every year, riders from across the globe come together, not just to showcase their classic and vintage motorcycles in dapper fashion, but to support an incredibly important cause: men’s mental health and prostate cancer research. As I prepare for DGR 2025, I want to share why this ride matters to me and why men’s health should be a priority for all of us.
Why I Ride Like many others, I have witnessed firsthand the struggles that men in my life have faced with mental health and serious illnesses. Whether it’s a friend dealing with depression in silence or a loved one battling prostate cancer, the statistics are more than just numbers—they are real people, real lives affected. The DGR is an opportunity to break the stigma, start conversations, and raise the funds needed to make a difference.
The Importance of Men’s Health Men’s health often takes a backseat, with too many of us ignoring symptoms or avoiding regular check-ups. Mental health, in particular, remains a taboo subject, with countless men suffering in silence due to societal expectations and outdated stigmas. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride gives us a platform to challenge these norms and encourage open discussions about mental well-being and physical health.
When and Where? On May 18, 2025, I’ll be joining thousands of riders across the world, from London to Los Angeles, Sydney to São Paulo, to make a statement. The ride isn’t just about looking good—it’s about doing good. I’ll be suiting up, hitting the road, and riding alongside others who believe in the same cause.
How You Can Get Involved If you’ve ever thought about participating, now is the time. Here’s how you can join the movement:
-
Register Online – Head over to the official Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride website and sign up.
-
Fundraise for the Cause – Every dollar counts toward helping men get the support they need.
-
Spread Awareness – Even if you don’t ride, you can contribute by donating, sharing information, and encouraging open conversations about men’s health.
Final Thoughts The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2025 is more than just a motorcycle event—it’s a lifeline for men around the world. It’s a chance for all of us to step up, speak out, and make a real impact. This year, I ride for my friends, for my family, and for every man who needs to know they are not alone. I hope to see you on the road, riding with purpose, style, and a shared commitment to change.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride
Wednesday 26th Mar 2025 On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
