“A call to Action” - I invite you to join me in supporting men living with depression.
Saturday 6th Apr 2024Depression is a silent battle that affects countless lives, yet it often remains shrouded in stigma and misunderstanding. While we've made strides in raising awareness about mental health, there's still much work to be done, especially when it comes to men.
For over three decades, I've battled my own demons—the relentless grip of depression. I know firsthand the weight of those dark days, the struggle to find hope, and the isolation that accompanies it. But I've also learned that acknowledging our pain is not a sign of weakness; it's an act of courage. By sharing our stories, we break down the walls that keep us apart and create a bridge of empathy.
Depression doesn't just affect the individual—it reverberates through families, friendships, and communities. The loved ones of those battling depression often feel helpless, desperate to reach out and offer solace. They witness the pain, the withdrawal, and the internal battles, and they ache to make a difference.
Today, I invite you to join me in supporting men living with depression. Let's shatter the silence and replace it with compassion.
Share this message with your family, friends, and social networks. Let them know that depression is not a sign of weakness but a shared human experience.
Please consider contributing $5 or $10 to my "Distinguished Gentleman's Ride" donation page. Every dollar counts and goes toward supporting men's mental health and prostate cancer research.
Together, we can create a world where men no longer suffer in silence. Let's ride alongside them, lifting each other up, and fostering a community of empathy and understanding.
I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride
Saturday 6th Apr 2024 On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives. My Sponsors
