Successful Ride

DGR 2024 is in the books. We had a great day to ride in the greater Grand Rapids area. The muster started at The Meadows at Millennium Park at noon. We respectfully rode through downtown Grand Rapids, into East Grand Rapids back through downtown GR, up river to Walker and ended the trek in Comstock Park to celebrate at Archival Brewing. It was great meeting new riders and seeing the faces light up of passersby throughout our sojourn. I sincerely appreciate all my donors support and hope to enjoy another ride and raise even more for men's mental health and prostate cancer awareness/support next year.

In 2022 I rode with my big brother, Ted. He likes straight ties and fast Italian cycles while I prefer bow ties and English type boutique bikes. Here we are that year: Ted behind his Moto Guzzi and I behind my Janus Halcyon

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

My mentor and longtime friend, Tom Tysse DDS passed away from metastatic prostatic cancer 10 years ago. Since then I have become acutely aware of the fact that this type of cancer is quietly killing a huge number of men who with early detection could survive and thrive much longer. On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
