My first organised ride

I was last on a bike back in 1981. I sold it because my girlfriend at the time didn't want to ride pillion, so I bought a car.

Roll forward 44 years and I am back on a bike. I've booked to ride across the Himalayan mountains on a similar bike but the guides have recommended getting some serious practice in as it's been so long.

So here we are. The Distinguished Gentlemans ride will be my first organised ride in 44 years. What better way to start. 

The ride is in support of Movember. 

The money raised goes towards mens health programs including 

Research towards Prostate Cancer, support of mens mental health including suicide prevention. One of the biggest causes of death in young men. And support for our veterans and first responders. 

What can you do to help? 

1. Donate, if you can, every penny goes to a great cause

2. Share to spread the word, you know people that I don't 

3 If you are local to Oxford on the 18th May, pop along to one of the stop points and cheer me on.

I'm Riding for Men's Health in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride

Thursday 27th Mar 2025 On Sunday the 18th of May 2025, I'm riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before I press my tweed and polish my boots, I'm asking you to join me in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
